Greetings from Allendale Math Specialist Mr. Maffesoli !

This website is designed to assist upper grade teachers and students at Allendale Elementary in the area of mathematics. The site consists of three primary sections. There is a 4th grade section that lists the GLCEs (Grade Level Content Expectations) created by the state, along with additional resources, including a page regarding Everyday Mathematics in that grade. The second key section of this website features the same elements that were previously mentioned, but which correspond to 5th grade learning. The final major component is a section of links to other websites on the Internet that are useful.   Mr. Maffesoli can be contacted via e-mail at maffesm@melnap.k12.mi.us or by phone at (313) 389-4664, extension 519.

Number and Operations Algebra Measurement Geometry Data and Probability (ME) Meaning, notations, place value, and comparisons (PA) Patterns, relations, functions, and change (UN) Units and systems of measurement (GS) Geometric shape, properties, and mathematical arguments (RE) Data representation (MR) Number relationships and meaning of operations (RP) Representation (TE) Techniques and formulas for measurement (LO) Location and spatial relationships (AN) Data interpretation and analysis (FL) Fluency with operations with estimation (RP) Formulas, expressions, equations, and inequalities (PS) Problem solving involving measurement (SR) Spatial reasoning and geometric modeling (PR) Probability (TR) Transformation and symmetry

4th Grade Math GLCEs   The assessments that appear within this website can be downloaded by school personnel. View them by first opening the Everyday Mathematics Tester program which is accessible using the drives that appear once Novell Login has occurred. Then simply open the desired file. These files will all have a (.wss) extension.
